Alex and Ani Charity By Design
Bracelet Giveaway
~Choose the Bracelet, Choose the Charity~
This giveaway is fabulous because not only do you get a beautiful bracelet to wear, you are also choosing a charity where 20% of the proceeds will go to support. Alex and Ani opened in 2004 by designer Carolyn Rafaelian of Rhode Island. She named the company after her first two daughters, and she created a line of jewelry meant to empower and express one’s inner beauty. She has many bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc. Many of the charms have meaning, and people buy them based on what the bracelet symbolizes. Some popular ones are: The Path of Life, the Four Leaf Clover, and the Star of Venus.
A special line that Rafaelian created is called the Charity By Design line. In this line she creates single charm bracelets that help to raise money for a certain cause, and designs charms that in some way represent this cause. For this giveaway you will choose one from this line. Your choices are the following:
Piece of the Puzzle:
20% of all sales, with a minimum donation of $10,000, from the Piece of

Hi,
I love your bracelets and appreciate the charities you support. There is an organization called the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. They don’t get as much recognition as other charities because people are uneasy talking about suicide. Their major fundraiser are the “Out of the Darkness” walks the sponsor across the US every year. I will be walking in Boston on 10/13/2012 in honor of my son, Nicholas who took his life at age 21. He was intelligent, handsome, articulate, friendly, and popular. Well liked by many, many friends. Is this something you might consider Please, help educateabout prevention, loss; help lessen the stigma, and help people to realize that suicide isn’t just a statistic-it’s a person!! Someone’s child, a parent-someone like Nick with so much going for them. Please, let’s keep this conversation going. Thank you,
Beth

The charity I choose is Living Water International
I am choosing the Multiple Sclerosis Nancy Davis foundation
I choose Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island!
I would absolutely pick the Shark Finn! So many wonderful causes…I also like Beth’s idea…so true and so necessary…too many loved ones gone too soon.
i would chose the Multiple Sclerosis Nancy Davis foundation, i was diagnosed with ms in 2010 so this one hits home for me
I love the living water. So many great charities
It is so hard to pick just one charity! You have so many great ones here. I would definitely choose the Ribbon of Strength. My mom is a breast cancer survivor who is currently fighting her third battle with cancer. She is the strongest person I know and any support that can be given to spread awareness, prevention, resources and HOPE is appreciated and needed. Thank you!
I would love to win the shark fin!
Such a great idea — and I love the lotus blossom bracelet in Russian gold. My daughter was born at Women & Infants four weeks ago, and I’m grateful to them for such a great experience and healthy delivery!
I like the ribbon of strength. Having lost an aunt to Breast Cancer I support Breast Cancer awareness and treatment as much as possible. Thank you for this great opportunity!
What a great promotion for a fun company! Thanks for sharing it.
I support the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation! Great giveaway, ladies!
