From Lisa to Santa, With Love
Posted on December 2, 2010 by Lisa in Featured, Gift Guides
Dear Santa,
I’ve been really good this year. I quit drinking the Diet Coke, which as you know was an extreme hardship because I love it so, I’ve been working really hard on this getting healthy thing, and I cussed way less this year than I did last year. I think you’ll agree that whole cussing thing qualifies as a Christmas miracle all by itself.
I know you’re busy, so I won’t take up a lot of your time. I just wanted to give you a few hints about what sort of things would make my skirt fly up on Christmas morning. To make things easy for you, almost everything on my list is available at Amazon.
Lisa’s List For Santa
Body Butter by the Body Shop in Satsuma. Yes, Santa, I know my husband hates the smell of oranges, but we’re not talking about him right now are we? Besides, what kind of person hates the smell of oranges? It’s my favorite body moisturizer ever and if you’re quick you can take advantage the 2 for $25 sale they have going on right now.
Shimano Women’s Mountain Cycling Shoes – Santa, these shoes will make my spin class even better than it already is because I can snap into the clipless pedals instead of messing with those toe clips that make my feet go numb. I know it says mountain bike, but most spin classes actually have mountain bike clipless pedals instead of the road bike versions. I don’t make these rules, Santa, I just go with them.
Pearl iZUMi Women’s Elite Cycling Short – Speaking of spin class, Santa, can we talk about my butt? I know it looks like there’s a lot of cushion there, but if you’ve spent any time on one of those bike seats you know that padded shorts are your friend. Added bonus? Looking like one of the cool kids who actually know what they’re doing.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens– Ok, Santa I know this is a biggie but there would be some extra cookies in it for you if this lens could find its way into my stocking. There is no doubt that Canon glass is high quality, and who doesn’t love the stunning detail of a perfect macro shot? Just think of the bugs, Santa, and the flowers, and the tiny little dewdrops on the flowers. The possibilities are endless!
High Sierra Crunk Trunk Duffel – I’ve learned something this year, Santa. Having only one gym bag is for the birds because you have to completely change everything out when you go to the gym for different activities. This looks like the perfect swim bag with plenty of room for a couple of towels and a separate wet compartment to store your wet suit and water socks. Plus no more forgotten necessities because of last minute bag switcheroos.
Sorrelli Circular Setting Crystal Necklace in Aurora Sky – Santa baby, there’s just one more little thing…some bling! Every girl needs something sparkly for the holidays and Sorrelli certainly knows how to make things sparkle. I love this necklace more than diet coke, it’s that pretty. I can add this necklace to any little black dress and it’s sure to pop! Available at www.sorrelli.com
Most of all, Santa, I’d love for everyone to have a happy holiday season. May peace and joy be with you all.

HOLY YES TO PADDED BIKE SHORTS. I don’t think I could ever take another spin class without them.
@Miss Britt, I know, right? That’s one of those life lessons you only need to learn once!
Now I’m conflicted between this macro and the other one…
@Megan G., Me too! I have no idea how to figure out which one would be better for my needs (macro only, not portrait). This one weighs more than the 60mm, but you don’t have to be as close to the subject. It’s more expensive though.
I love the trunk duffel! I want to use it to covertly carry a kitty (or two) out of my building.
And it’s pretty in PINK!
@Poppy, It comes in a bunch of colors, but pink is my favorite!
