Mother’s Day is a month away and retailers are buzzing about holiday gift ideas for women. Of course you can always buy flowers and jewelry and personalized picture frames. But let’s not forget the more unique gifts and things you can buy for her, too!
This week at Buy-Her, I’m going to be focusing on some holiday gift ideas for women that you might not have thought of – or heard of – and passing along a few deals I’ve come across online lately.
Today we’re talking about gifts for women who love to eat! (Mom, I’m looking at you… and silently cursing you for passing that on to me.)
(Click on the pictures for more info!)
Awwww, pink M&M’s with your faces on them! M&M is running a special on personalized bags for Mother’s Day. Buy 3 bags and get 1 free.
Actually, my mother-in-law loves M&Ms and always has a candy dish filled with them out on her counter. How sweet would it be to have little candies with pictures of her grandkids on them?
Wait. Is that creepy?
MOVING ON!

Chocolate covered strawberries. Yum. And is there anything quite as indulgent?
I love this gift idea for a mom with little kids and not much time to herself. Something about locking yourself in a bathroom with the radio turned up and your very own box of chocolate covered strawberries says “Mother’s Day Nirvana” to me.

I lied. THIS is Nirvana to me. In fact, if anyone out there is my husband, mother, son, daughter, internet stalker trying to buy my love and affections – nothing says I love, Britt like cheesecake.

I don’t know anything about wine except that I love some and hate others.
What I do know is that wine is a fun gift that is meant to be shared. In other words, make plans to stop by and visit mom as soon as you can once you know this basket has been delivered.

If you DO know something about wine, DrinkUpForLess is offering 15% off select wines with code MOM15 at checkout.
And yes, that wine is called Bitch. I mean, you know, if your mom has a love of wine and a sense of humor.

If my Nana was alive, she would love this.
There’s something about tea that is so gentile and civilized. And I’ve found that women who drink a lot of tea enjoy trying new varieties that they can’t find in grocery stores once in a while.

Unless your mother lives some place tropical, there’s a pretty good chance it’s been a long winter without much in the way of fruit. It’s still a little early for watermelon and strawberries, but here’s a chance to splurge on pears, apples and fancy cheeses and nuts.
This is a great gift idea for women who love to eat but are trying to be more careful about what they eat.

Maybe it’s just my mom who is so excited for the snow to melt and the grill to be defrosted, but the woman was just raving to me about “beer butt chicken” a few days ago.
This isn’t a gift idea that’s frilly or girly. You won’t find anything pink or a single flower or heart on the packaging. That might be what makes it the perfect gift.

Heh.
Don’t really buy this for your mom. Unless you’re putting it in with a ginormous bag of awesome jelly beans. And a gift certificate to a spa. Or something.
But then, these are not only acceptable – but hysterical.

@floating princess, see – and I totally could with mine. Too bad she doesn’t drink wine – she would laugh and laugh and laugh.
