Free Your Feet With Nike Free Run +
That darn Oprah. She beat me to the punch on this post by giving away the Nike Free Run + shoe to her audience during her oh so fancy Favorite Things episode. But, this post has been languishing in my Mac for a few weeks so take that Harpo, I liked these shoes first. Actually, I LOVE these shoes. I have three pair and will definitely be scoping out a new set for spring. They are oh so comfortable and are designed to mimic the effects of barefoot training on your feet, while giving you nice cushioning and protection against nasty road bumps. They are also meant to be worn without socks, which feels great, but also mimics the effect of walking barefoot. And stepping in poo. Along with the smell. Or maybe that’s just me. I hate socks. Socks are like bras for your feet. They should be removed as often as possible. I find that a dash of foot powder and weekly washes keeps any funk to a minimum, and the insoles are removable and interchangeable, so that helps. The fit is kind of a bootie style, so there’s no need for the demon socks, but thin socks will work well and don’t get bunched up like in other brands. They are also made to work with the Nike + sensor to track your mileage, calories, etc.
Another great thing about these shoes is the color selection. They have PINK ! And if you didn’t know, “pink is mah signature color.” The shoe also comes in white, red, purple, orange and a variety of other shades. I buy most of my shoes from Zappos, because not only do they have the size I need for my big hooves, but they offer free return shipping and a one year return policy ! Yes, ONE YEAR ! You can also get them at Nike’s web site, and various other shoe retailers nationwide.
I wear mine to work, where I am on my feet 7-8 hours a shift and they are always comfortable and give me the support I need. No foot, leg or back pain, and the light weight makes it feel like I’m not clunking around.
So set your feetses free with the Nike+ Free tennis shoe.
You’re welcome.
Friday Flop: The Tide Bounce Bar. Or, where I look a gift horse in the mouth and say “BOOOO! Hiss!”

Disclaimer: I love Tide laundry detergent.
It’s the only detergent I use to wash my clothes. I adore the way it smells and it is the only laundry soap that my husband’s overly sensitive skin can handle. We’ve tried every product under the sun, and we always come back to Tide.
So when Tide had a booth at the BlogHer conference in Chicago this summer, you can bet your sweet behind I was front and center with outstretched palms gathering up every single free sample they would give me. I got tiny packets of laundry detergent and some new boost packet thingies. I also received a sample of their new product, the Bounce Dryer Bar.
What is a Bounce Dryer Bar?
It looks like a bar of soap stuck in a mounting device. You stick it to the inside wall of your dryer and it stays there for 2-4 months working as a constant fabric softener. In other words, it’s a replacement for dryer sheets.
Oddly enough, this is not my picture. This picture of a Bounce Dryer Bar is courtesy of rockinfree on Flickr. I don’t even think he has a review blog. He’s just taking pictures of his dryer bar.
4 Free Disney On Ice Tickets And Miss Britt Family Night! – if you can get to Orlando

I was complaining on twitter the other day about being in a bad mood and annoyed at people in general.
I received a direct message from a local PR rep asking if she could perk me up with Disney On Ice tickets to giveaway.
I asked her if I could “give them away” to my two kids – because, um, giving stuff to other people doesn’t perk me up nearly as much as making my kids think I do not, for one night, suck as a mom.
She said no, basically, that I had to give them to one of you people – but generously offered to put 4 tickets aside for me and my family too.
Little In The Middle Jeans – A Giveaway!

Finding a pair of jeans that fits perfectly is a daunting task for many women.
If you’re a woman with a pear or hourglass shaped body, finding a pair of jeans that fits your waist and your hips can seem downright impossible.
I used to consider myself an hourglass. And then my boobs shriveled up, my hips made room for two children and an all you can eat Chinese buffet, and Viola! I’m a pear! And my hips are still significantly wider than my waist.
Because of my own struggle with finding the perfect pair of jeans, I was especially excited to receive an email from my friend Maria about a new line of jeans that caters to my body type.
From her email:
I was looking for jeans and found this brand called Little in the Middle, for hourglass/pear shapes. You know, those of us that have to wear belts to prevent showing ass cleavage or if we want something that actually fits our waist, it flattens our ass and bunches in the back of our thighs? Yeah.
Anyway, I bought some and holy fuck it’s true! I got a size …., and they are everything they claim to be. My new faves. They were $100, but totally worth it.

I don’t even know what your body looks like, it’s probably not even applicable to you, I dunno, but I thought maybe your readers might like it. And I was way impressed. And too lazy to update my own review blog.
Of course I ran right over to check out Little In The Middle jeans for myself. I then hunted down everyone in their PR and marketing department and begged and pleaded with them to let me try a pair for myself this site.
