Secret Sleeves Giveaway!
I feel like Oprah suddenly.
You get a car, you get a car, YOU get a CAR! OK, I can’t give away cars. But I can give away Secret Sleeves to one lucky reader thanks to Getting Gorgeous and Secret Sleeves. I know, right now you are saying “Wow that Liza is so freaking cool. She just gave away makeup, and now she’s giving away Secret Sleeves too?” That’s right kids, and there is more where that came from too so remember to stay tuned here at Buy-Her.
What are Secret Sleeves? Something else I have just learned about. I know, where have I been? (I don’t know either.) But if you are like me and you spend part of the day under a rock, or you know, chasing your kids around or something, let me fill you in. Well, wait. In my defense they came out just before the holidays – but still, I should be more on top of these things. While I was not sure just what to think when I first looked at the product, I am now thinking I love love love this idea. Better than a pashmina (and I wear mine frequently).
Why is it better?
When you put on a pashmina you cover your arms but there is always a spot that doesn’t get covered all the way, right? Not with Secret Sleeves. It looks like a scarf. You can wear it around your neck any way you like. Get cold? Take it off and slip your arms inside the sleeves and it turns into a shrug, wrap or jacket! It can be worn with just about any outfit, casual or dressy. It’s even small enough to fit in your purse!
Secret Sleeves start at $39.99 and are available on their website in several colors and trim options. Again, this is something I would love to keep for myself but sadly the size I was given from Secret Sleeves and Getting Gorgeous is marked small/medium …and I am more of a medium/large … so my lovely readers, send me some comment love. Tell me why this sounds like something you have to have. Include your e-mail address so we can contact you if you win. Winner will be selected at random 5 days from this posting.
Win Simplehuman’s Sensor Soap Pump
Recently I raved about how in love I was with simplehuman’s sensor soap pump.
You can read that post here. You know, in case you missed it the first time around. Or you want to check out what it looks like again… because I have some really cool news for you.
Once simplehuman heard about how much I loved their soap pump, they generously agreed to participate in a GIVEAWAY! That’s right my friends, simplehuman is going to give away one simplehuman soap pump to one of our very lucky readers.
In honor of my very first giveaway here at Buy-Her, I thought we should do it up right with a little contest. Tell me about the messiest mess you have found by your sink. Be it in the kitchen, the bathroom, the laundry room… wherever. What was the mess you had that left you wishing that when you were finally clean, that you didn’t have to turn around and clean the soap pump too.
I’ll start us off with a story (though I am not eligible to win). Surprisingly enough, it’s my husband (and not my kids) who has made the biggest mess by the sink. The boys have made some whopper messes but I don’t think anything compares to trying to clean that non-sensor soap pump after my husband has changed the oil in my truck, leaving dark stinky oil stains on the soap pump. *Shudder*
See how easy that was? So leave me a comment about your messiest mess. The best messiest mess comment as judged by Buy-Her by 11;59 pm on Wednesday, January 19*, wins a simplehuman sensor soap pump. Yaaayy! You too, will be in love.
*Entries must be posted by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, January 19th to be eligible. Winners will be notified by e-mail within seven (7) business days.

Little In The Middle Jeans – A Giveaway!
June 8, 2009 by Miss Britt

Finding a pair of jeans that fits perfectly is a daunting task for many women.
If you’re a woman with a pear or hourglass shaped body, finding a pair of jeans that fits your waist and your hips can seem downright impossible.
I used to consider myself an hourglass. And then my boobs shriveled up, my hips made room for two children and an all you can eat Chinese buffet, and Viola! I’m a pear! And my hips are still significantly wider than my waist.
Because of my own struggle with finding the perfect pair of jeans, I was especially excited to receive an email from my friend Maria about a new line of jeans that caters to my body type.
From her email:
I was looking for jeans and found this brand called Little in the Middle, for hourglass/pear shapes. You know, those of us that have to wear belts to prevent showing ass cleavage or if we want something that actually fits our waist, it flattens our ass and bunches in the back of our thighs? Yeah.
Anyway, I bought some and holy fuck it’s true! I got a size …., and they are everything they claim to be. My new faves. They were $100, but totally worth it.

I don’t even know what your body looks like, it’s probably not even applicable to you, I dunno, but I thought maybe your readers might like it. And I was way impressed. And too lazy to update my own review blog.
Of course I ran right over to check out Little In The Middle jeans for myself. I then hunted down everyone in their PR and marketing department and begged and pleaded with them to let me try a pair for myself this site.
