I can’t believe I paid $18 this weekend to replace a tube of lip gloss that I lost.

But really – it’s that good.

So good, in fact, that I willingly endured another trip to my local ULTA so that I could plop down $18.  For lip gloss.

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips is currently tied with Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer for my all time favorite lip gloss.  And while Burt’s Bees is awesome and only about $4.99 at a drugstore – I still couldn’t resist the urge to get my hands on another tube of Buxom Lips.

One of my favorite things about Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips is how it feels when you put it on.  My lips tingle ever so slightly – probably a result of the lip plumper in it – but it’s not a painful tingle.  It’s like the minty tingle that a new piece of gum gives your mouth.  And it tastes good – but not overpowering.

I also love the way it looks.

The Buxom Lips gives me a hint of color and shine – a little more than the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmers.  It’s the perfect amount of color to create a “neutral lip” if you’re playing up your eyes, while still giving you a polished, pull together makeup look.

If you avoid lip glosses because you don’t like the sticky feeling – Buxom Lips is a perfect lip gloss for you.  My lips never feel sticky when I’m wearing it, whether I’ve applied it moments or hours ago.  Shine without stickiness is hard to come by.
