Have you ever tried the Gwen's Blends Good Hair Conditioner. It doubles as a cream for curly hair. I'm curious to know how it would work in your hair.

I have thick curly somewhat course hair, and usually unless I put gel or pomade in it, my hair will frizz out into a giant puff. The Shielo Antioxidant Leave In Protectant isn't too heavy at all, neither does it get sticky or flaky after application. if your hair is wet and you put some into your hair and let it dry you can get the "wet look" that gels provide, if your hair is damp and you put it in you can get tameness of frizz that pomades give. if you put it on dry hair then you get the definition and "piece-iness" that waxes give.

@Robina, the problem is that the curl enhancer isn't a product with hold. It's a curl enhancer. To control frizz you need something AFTER that product.

And also, it is possible that you're using too much product. I have very thick hair and even when it was very, very long I only used about a dime to nickel sized amount of curl enhancer in my hair.

Okay, I think the Curl Enhancer is just too heavy for my hair. Or maybe I used too much? I tried again this morning, and blew dry, but it still feels "heavy". I think I'll take the Enhance back and get the Confixer. (Is that what it's called?)

As crazy as this may sound, Herbal Essences' Dangerously Straight mousse totally tames my crazy curls. The only problem is, it leaves my wet curls a little crunchy, but it's better than most. Of course, I usually just straighten my hair anyway...

Lately I've discovered that if I use a rollerbrush, I can blow dry it straight without it frizzing on me. Then I fix the top with a small flat iron. Much better for my hair.

I do swear by the Garnier Sleek 'N Shine system, though. I'll have to give this Aveda a shot. Your curls always look gorgeous!

I have long curly hair too - lots of hair but it is very fine. And I hate salon people who SAY they can cut curly hair. I have a good one now, as long as I can keep her from cutting too much off, but I was just about to the point of asking for pictures before I let them touch my hair. I color it also, and have been using Paul Mitchell - switching around between color care and thickening stuff. I'm going to give this Aveda stuff a try as I run out of things. I think I will start with the confixor and Medium Hold Hair Spray, though. I've been looking for something that is lighter than hair spray to help keep the curl, and get rid of the frizz. Thank you so much for the tips!!!!
