Let’s Talk About… Personal Lubricants, Baby
Ok, ladies, let’s talk about sex. Actually, let’s talk about personal lubricants. Yes, I know, it’s kind of embarrassing. At some point we have thought personal lubricants are for ‘old people’ or people with some sort of physical problem.
The truth is? They can be a great enhancement. Sure our bodies naturally lubricate themselves, but if the night goes into extra innings? A girl might need some help. There’s no shame in that game.
But with so many on the market, which one to chose? I haven’t done extensive research in this area, so I’m not going to be able to cover all the bases but I have tried a few.
ID Glide Personal Lubricant
ID Glide Personal Lubricant is a water based lubricant which is body and toy friendly. It is easy to clean up, and doesn’t leave behind a greasy film. It reduces mood killing friction and makes extended foreplay more enjoyable. Water based lubricants are latex friendly as well, where silicone based lubricants are not.
ID Glide is clear and odorless and also? Taste-free, you know, for those who might be wondering. Because it lasts longer than some others I have tried, the 5.5 oz bottle will last a while depending on the frequency of use.
ID Glide Lubricant can be found at Amazon.com or at Walgreens.com.
K-Y Yours + Mine Couples Lubricant
K-Y is the go-to name in personal lubricants. It’s the first name that comes to mind when personal lubrication comes up.
And with good reason. K-Y makes a great product. Correction, K-Y makes several great products.
The Yours + Mine Couples Lubricant is two lubricants to be used by a couple together. Each one works great by itself, but when used together? The results are amazing.
The Blue tube goes on him and offers a slight warming sensation. The purple is for her and offers a cooling/tingling sensation. When the two meet, the sensations mingle together and create a new and exciting sensation felt by both partners. The lubricants are interchangeable or can be used alone.
There are two drawbacks to this product though. K-Y Yours + Mine Couples Lubricant are silicone based, so you will need to wash the product off. Also, the packaging is two test tubes and therefore they do not sit/stand upright, so you have to be extra careful to not spill them.
As with ID Glide, you can get K-Y Yours + Mine Personal Lubricants at Amazon.com, kyshopdirect.com or at department stores where personal lubricants are sold. (ie, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target)
With Valentine’s in the air, what better time to have a little fun in the bedroom?

Personally? Not a fan of the cool, tingling.
Some people are, some aren’t. Honestly, I’m not a fan every single time. Obviously, K-Y does offer products without any cooling/tingling.
