I completely agree with you. I found your website bc I am googling “how to assemble william sonoma chopper.” Everything you said is exactly what i was thinking. what a waste of money. It’s not worth taking out to use, bc you have to clean it and figure out how to put it all back together. Well, that and IT DOESN’T CHOP. I only WISH it would cut onions or potatoes into those perfect little squares. Your article made me laugh. Hope i can sell mine and recoup some cash!

Since I like to cook people are always buying me gadgets like this because they think it will make everything easier for me. Those kinds of things don’t even come out of the box at my house. It takes me less time to chop a whole bag of onions than it takes me to get one of those things put together!

I’ve never desired anything but a good knife to chop anything. They all seem to be more trouble than they’re worth.

my dorky mini chopper from pampered chef was only about 25$ and i love that little thing to cut onions. less force needed.
there is something about a great knife. chops well, keeps my husband in line.
