Inexpensive Hanging Pot Rack

Hanging Pot Racks

I have always wanted a kitchen with a hanging pot rock.

If you look at interior decorating pictures of kitchens (what? That’s totally normal to do!) you’ll see lots and lots of hanging pot racks over big beautiful islands with fancy schmancy stoves.

Hanging Pot Racks

And that is how you know that they are awesome.  At least, that’s what I told my husband.

Who is very anti-pot rack.

I don’t know how you can’t love the idea of a hanging pot rack.  Unless you have no soul. And to be honest, I’ve always suspcted that about him.

Where were we?  Oh. Yes.  A hanging pot rack and how I have always wanted a kitchen that had one.  So, anyway, I’ve always loved the idea but never had a kitchen with a place for a hanging pot rack.

Until now.

NOW I have an island in my kitchen.  And while it isn’t an island with a fancy schmancy stove in it, it is an island that is absolutely perfect to hang a pot rack over.  In fact, it’s begging for it.  In fact, it pretty much looks stupid without a hanging pot rack over it.

Its like something is missing here..

It's like something is missing here..

At least, that’s what I told my husband.

Over and over and over and over and over again.

For about 18 months.

Until he finally caved.

And by caved I mean stopped saying “that is stupid” and started saying “I don’t care, do whatever you want Britt, just shut up about the damn thing.”

Ah, Victory, you are so sweet.

Sorry, that’s a crappy iPhone picture I took about 2 seconds after the pot rack was hung so that I could announce to the world that I had finally arrived at official adulthood.

Here’s an actual product shot:

(In case you haven’t noticed, I buy damn near everything on Amazon.  I have an Amazon Prime Membership and a problem.)

I am green with jealousy. However, I won’t have to ever dust the pots and pans. Haha!
    :D

I know a lot of people like these and were I to have one I think one like this would be best as it does not block the nice openness of your kitchen.

Amazon flat rocks! Plus we have a distribution center here so shipping is often one day even though it’s standard.

The only thing that could make me want to tear out my cupboard with built-in wine glass inserts (so they hang upside down) is the idea of putting up a pot rack. I’m so jealous!!!

don’t you hit your head on it? how do you get the pots down when you USE them? to me, it seems impractical…after all, you’ll just have to wash the pot/pan before using it because of dust and stuff like that on it…

While it may be impractical (and I have to admit I had never thought of it or why…) I also love the idea of a pot rack. It does make a kitchen look more stylish and glamorous, if you wil :)

  6. I used to be a pot-rack girl, but then the pots would get all greasy and dusty (is grusty a word?) and I’d have to wash them before I used them.

My dream kitchen has nothing but drawers: deep and lovely drawers that require no one to kneel and reach back into them to find the square tupperware top that has drifted to the far back corner.

Pot racks do look cool, though.

Hi. I just purchased and got today in the mail this same exact pot rack and LOVE IT! However, when I saw it on Amazon, I checked to just see what Walmart dot com had and they had the same thing, same price with pick up free at the store (I know you get free shipping) but I opted to pay the whole $3 for shipping and got it right at my door. One of the reason I TRY to buy big items like this or anything that I possibly MIGHT have to return for one reason or another is that I can just bring it right to the store instead of hassling with, and paying, to ship it back. I could just bring it right to Walmart for free! I just bought several things on Old Navys website and same thing. I needed to return one shirt and didn’t have to mail it back but just go to the store.

Just something some people might like to keep in mind when buying things. If you need to return it it is really nice to be able to do it locally for free. But I will not be returning this rack, I love it!! And for $45 you can not go wrong. :)

Pot racks, wall mounted or hanging are a great way to save cabinet storage space. They also look great and add to the decor of your kitchen. There are a wide variety of colors, styles, materials and sizes to choose from. It’s amazing how different your kitchen decor will change with a pot rack. Pot racks will turn a sterile kitchen into a gourmet kitchen! Take a look at the wide variety of pot racks http://www.potrackspecialist.com that are available for any kitchen size or style.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has any idea where the pot rack in the very first picture that Miss Britt posted in her original blog post about pot racks above – the one with the black scroll work and chandelier lamps? I love this exact one and cannot find it anywhere. I have found loads of other chandelier type pot racks, but I want this one… I’m thinking it might be custom made? Thanks!!
