Cheap Purses For Spring
It’s officially spring.
I love when the seasons change and we get to put away the clothing and accessories we’re starting to get tired of and go shopping for new things.
For me, spring and summer fashions are all about light and bright. I think of sunshine and being outdoors, and my wardrobe and accessories reflect a more playful attitude.
One of the first things I do when the seasons change is go shopping for new purses.
And my favorite kind of purses are cheap purses. Scratch that. Cheap, cute purses are my favorites.
I’m not a bag snob – and my budget wouldn’t allow it even if I wanted to be a slave to labels and designers. For me, an inexpensive purse is an easy way to satisfy my shopping urge and enjoy the thrill of having something new, without spending too much money.
My favorite purse right now is a lime green knock off I got in Chinatown last fall. I paid $35 for it and I love it. I get compliments almost every time I carry it, and it’s perfect for spring.
But you can’t have just one lime green purse for spring. I mean, clearly. I have some shopping to do.
I like this bag as an option at night for the spring and summer. Sometimes the beachy bags can feel a little silly if you find yourself inside a restaurant – even if it is 80 degrees outside. I think the pink and the unstructured design of this purse gives it the perfect casual touch.
This purse is the epitome of a spring bag – for less than $30. The natural elements are reminiscent of the beach or a picnic in the park. The flower detailing and the lace edging are a unique touch that shows you have a strong sense of style.
I have been craving an orange bag forever. Lucky for me, designers have declared officially in style for spring – which doesn’t make them any more desirable, but absolutely makes them easier to find than they were last year. This one is a little more structured than I normally do in the warmer months, but I like the textural interest of the quilting.
Another “hot” color this season is blue. I love the chunkiness of this Tommy Hilfiger bag and the hardware. I adore the bright blue. This is a guaranteed to get compliments bag.
A tote is practically a requirement for spring and summer. It’s perfect for the beach, the pool, the park, an amusement park, the mall… you get the idea. Every woman should own at least one canvas tote. I love the soft green and funky polka dots of this canvas tote.
I think this is the one for me. Love it. LOVE. I love the neutral colors that make it appropriate for anything – with the little shot of color that makes it interesting and bright. I like the floral pattern that isn’t too grandma’s couch floral. I love this bag. And at $29.50 – it’s a super cheap way for me to get my shopping fix on.
What about you? Which is your favorite?
