I hate it when the things I buy for myself don’t work out as planned.
I was so excited to find this Relic Laptop Bag at Kohl’s. It was on clearance sale for $11.00 and it seemed like the perfect fashionably geeky tech gift for myself.
I have to take my laptop back and forth to work. It’s a pain in the ass. When I saw this laptop bag I figured at the very least I could save myself some hassle by being able to use it as a computer bag and a purse, as opposed to lugging a laptop bag and a purse back and forth to work.
And it’s cute.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t actually hold a normal sized laptop computer.
That beautiful paisley laptop sleeve? It’s made for – I don’t know what. A computer that would fit into an 11″ x 15″ x 2″ computer sleeve, apparently.
My computer is 14″ x 10 1/2″ inches. So you’d think that it would fit. But, no. Not even close. I can’t even get the damn laptop all the way in the sleeve, let alone zip it shut.
I even tried to fit my old crappy 12 inch laptop into it, and that doesn’t fit either. So I’m basically stuck with a beautiful, useless tote. I guess I can use the tote itself, although black patent leather doesn’t exactly scream spring purse.
This is $19.98 and measures 17″ x 13″ x 4″. That sounds a lot more reasonable. It says specifically that it’s for laptops up to 15.4″. Brilliant.

@Stacy, yeah, unless you have a mini – it’s pretty useless.
