Skinny Jeans for Curvy Gals
I have protested the trend of the skinny jean for years. If you are bigger than a size two—I never thought they looked very good. For us non-stick thin gals, they hug and accentuate all the wrong places. Every now and then, I’d try on a pair. If I was lucky enough to get them pulled up over my calves and actually get them zipped, I felt like I might as well be walking around with neon arrows pointing out my huge ass. I’ve been a size 10 my whole life and I’d need to try on at least a size 78 in skinnies to find some that I could actually pull up! I had all but given up on ever being able to wear my favorite boots over top of my jeans. I still wanted to, though, I just didn’t want to look like a tramp in skin tight jeans in the process.
Until one day… I saw a woman who was about my same curviness totally working a great pair of skinnies. I very boldly walked up to her and asked her what brand of jeans she was wearing. They were 17/21 brand jeans, which quite honestly, I’d never heard of. She said that she purchased them at TJMaxx. I came home and looked online and couldn’t find any stores associated with the brand or even a listing as to where they could be purchased. So the next day I headed to TJMaxx in search of a great pair of 17/21 skinny jeans. There they were- in all their dark wash, skinny glory! At the rock bottom price of $16.99, I picked up 2 pairs.
These skinny jeans are a perfect mid-rise, so you don’t have to worry about so much muffin top spilling out over the top. They fit like regular jeans through the waist and thighs. Though they hug a bit at the thighs, they don’t squeeze the life out of the cellulite I have there. They run very true to size, so I was able to purchase the size 10′s that I usually wear, instead of having to buy 5 sizes up like all the other skinny jeans I’ve tried on over the years.
These jeans feel just as comfortable and fit just as well right out of the dryer as they do on the third day. My boots slide on easily over the bottoms. I’ve been wearing my 17/21 skinnies for about 6 weeks now and they haven’t faded, drawn up, or unravelled at the seams. I give them an A+. I’d shout from the rooftops about how much I love these jeans. I reccommend them to all my curvy gal pals. Head on over to TJMaxx and get some!

I wear Gap jeggings, which are just basically skinny jeans, and I’ve been raving about them for bigger girls for months. I’m convinced everyone looks better with a little curve hugging than covering up in mom jeans.
@Corrin Foster, Ooo… must check these out too.
I can’t find these online anywhere. Now I’m going to have to go to TJMaxx and check ‘em out.
If there are any tall, curvy gals reading out there, The Gap makes a skinny jean that goes well with long inseams and thighs n’ hips. How do I know this? I happen to be freakishly tall. And curvy. But just, you know, kind of normally curvy.
(I see now that Corrin already commented about the Gap jeans. So obviously they’re good.)
I wish, wish, wish TJ Maxx sold stuff online. But, then, that would not make any sense. Whenever I have extra time during my trips home to VT I shop there.
Thanks for letting me know about 17/21!
where do you order 17/21 jeans, i would luv to buy some more, i luv these jeans
I couldn’t agree with you more about these jeans. I found a pair at TJMaxx and keep going back trying to find more. I would buy 5 more pairs if I could, just to ensure I always have them! People keep asking me if I’ve lost weight, when in fact i’ve gained a few pounds! And other women have told me my butt looks awesome in them without prompting!
OMG-THANK YOU so much for posting this!!!! I LOVE these jeans-have almost worn my ONE pair out and could not for the life of me remember where I bought them!!! I pride me myself on being able to find ANYTHING online and these jeans have had me stumped for many many months now!!! I cannot find any other skinnies that fit my 40 pound overweight self that look or feel as good and comfortable as these. That’s it-off to the 3 TJMaxx stores in my area with my fingers crossed-YAY!!!
(wondering why it is so hard to find out who makes these?!!)
I just bought my first pair from TJ Maxx on Saturday night – didn’t think I would ever wear skinny jeans. LOVE THEM! going to the other TJ MAXX in town tonight after work to search for more…….I want a black pair please please please……..
Aren’t they awesome?! So flattering and so cozy. I’ve checked back at TJ Maxx several times and never seen them in black. Hope you find some though!
I also LOVE my 17/21′s! I am in Canada and get them at Winners, essentially our TJMaxx. They are like wearing sweats!! Best pants ever!!
17/21 brand jeans are the only jeans my daughter likes and the ONLY place I have found them is at TJ Maxx. I have searched on-line everywhere.Does anyone know where else to buy them. I love TJ Maxx, but there quantities are so limited.
I got mine at Marshals I think its a spin off store to TJ Maxx. I haven’t been able to find any more either.
I totally agree these jeans are the best! I also got minds from TJMaxx on sale for $10.00.
Just found my first pair at Marshall’s. I have never researched a product and just wanted to go to the company’s web site to send a big, THANKS for making such a great pair of jeans. As a 57 yr. old woman, I ams so tired of trying to find jeans that aren’t low-waisted…so unflattering and uncomfortable. I swear these 17/21 jeans took 10 lbs off, and I am planning on wearing them on the plane–they are that comfortable–to my 40th HS reunion! This company needs to come out of the closet!
Love, love, love my 17/21 jeans! Can I order somewhere on line? I’ve not been able to find a website! Help! I want more jeans!
I love love love these jeans just got a pair at Marshall’s and would love to have at least three more pairs. Has anyone found the website for this company. Help Please!
To our knowledge, there is no Web site! I’ve been looking for them forever!
I got the same ones and love them. I also have looked online and can’t find them because I only bought one pair and now they are all gone.
THEY FIX GREAT BUT HARD TO FIND…SALES REP IN TJMAXX SAID SHE’S NEVER HAD OF THE BRAND..!
IF ANYONE FINDS ANOTHER SOURCE – LET ME KNOW! THANKS
