A Unique, Rustic Touch to Your Wedding Day

If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m not the traditional type girl. I’ve always like things and styles that stood out and were unique. So one would have to assume my wedding would not be any different. Now I wouldn’t say it’s an out there wedding; but there are a few things that we picked out that are unique. My favorite item is our log slice guest book & pen. I stumbled upon totally by accident while googling nature inspired wedding favors. The second we saw it we knew that would be our guest book.

The company who created it is called J&K Art Shop, named after owners Jon & Kim Lassak. They can be found on www.Etsy.com. They are a husband and wife team located in Pennsylvania and they specialize in wood burning. They create things like guest books, wedding reception plaques, card boxes, pen and holder sets, and coasters. And as they say on their page, “if we don’t have it, just ask”.

After reading the 53 reviews they received, which by the way were all positive, we ordered our guest book and pen. We received it about a week after ordering which is incredibly fast. It’s perfect. I am so impressed with the quality and the craftsmanship. It is exactly how they showed it on their page. It has our initials and the date of our wedding burned into it. We ordered one which can hold up to 75 signatures because we only expect about 60 people. I was a bit nervous about its size because it is hard to tell how big or small something is just by looking at a picture online. However, it definitely has the room and possibly more to hold the amount of signatures they claim. The pen also has our initials in a heart burned into it. I love that it is customized and handmade. It makes it more personal for us.

The best part about this guest book and pen is, when our wedding day is over, we can either hang it or frame it to be hung and shared with people who come to visit us instead of it being stored in a bin and forgotten.
